January 30, 2024 (Tuesday)
Welcome to my e-portfolio!! Today, I'll share how to assess the children.
βThis morning, madam asked us to arrange tables in groups to make it easier to do discussions and learning sessions.
βShe also provided us 3 types of books for us to refer to and read.
HOW TO ASSESS THE STUDENT?
βThere are 4 ways on how to assess the students
π TEST
π MEASUREMENT
π EVALUATE
π ASSESSMENT
βTypes of test
- Standardized Test: These tests have set administration, scoring, and interpretation procedures. They are often used to compare children's performance to a normative sample.
- Examples test: Stanford-Binet test
βTypes of measurement
- Objective measurement: based on concrete, observable facts or criteria independent of individual judgment or interpretation. Objective measures are typically quantitative and can be standardized across different observers or contexts.
- Diagnostic evaluation: used to identify students' strengths and weaknesses at the beginning of a course or instructional unit. It helps teachers understand students' prior knowledge and skills to tailor instruction to their needs. Diagnostic assessments may include pre-tests, readiness assessments, and surveys.
βTypes of assessment
- Performance-based assessments: require students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills through real-world tasks or projects. Examples include presentations, portfolios, experiments, and performances.
